The Cat, The Mouse and The Penguin

The power struggle and fallout of a mob family is a subject we’ve all seen before. Although we have yet to see it in Gotham City. Episode 2 of this series “ Inside Man” provides an in depth psychological look at what Oz has started in his grapple to become the Kingpin of Gotham. The cat and mouse game he is playing on both sides of the criminal families is dark, graphic and yet poetic. Again Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobb is just extraordinary in this series. Notwithstanding Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone is just on par with Colin as taking a character to the depths of a cerebral traumatic person. She has really come into this series and put her stamp on it. This series is really getting into the facade of the dark and gloomy underground days of Gotham City, DC Comics is finally coming into their own to match what The MCU did for a better part of a decade. We are finally getting inside our characters minds, motives and traumatized pasts that make them what they are….. damaged personas. They are characters inside the main character of what we know as Gotham City. A deadly product of their environment. Yet The Penguin wants to control it and he will play any angle to get what he wants. To him it’s just another day at the office
